Toitu Poneke, The Hub - 49 Kilbirnie Crescent - HOME OF SMOG NETBALL

In early 2020, we became the only Wellington netball club to become affiliated into Toitu Poneke (The Hub) and this is a relationship we are incredibly proud of. We look upon Toitu Poneke (The Hub) as the 'Home of SMOG Netball' and we regard these premises as our own clubrooms. All our social and fundraising events are held here, and the use of all facilities are at our disposal upon request. You will find our SMOG logo on the front entrance, the Toitu Poneke (The Hub) branded vehicle and monthly Newsletters published to the local community.

Although these premises are shared with Poneke Rugby Club during the Winter season, all our SMOG members are warmly welcomed each Saturday to the clubrooms where it becomes a shared environment for both clubs to co-exist together. The ability to integrate club activities and connect with other sporting codes that are also affiliations of Toitu Poneke (The Hub) means we are able to offer our members access to other sporting communities that may serve both a personal or professional purpose.  The opportunity to become connected with other sporting codes, social occasions and activities, community events, potential sponsors and have membership use of a wonderful community facility to promote as the “Home of SMOG Netball” were among the key incentives to join Toitu Poneke (The Hub). 

As SMOG are the headline Netball Club at Toitu Poneke (The Hub) we are viewed as one of their most valued relationships and we simply ask that all our teams nurture this relationship in 2021, enjoy our new premises and support any events we will host during the season here.

This 2021 season, we are working behind the scenes to organise joint social activities and events with Poneke Rugby Club so watch this space!
